Very good decorations standard, furniture is superb, room facilities all in good working order, security feels good, excellent staff. When passing through Joburg, I would definitely use this guest house.

This hotel is so nice, well decorated, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The Staff is very helpful and welcoming. I want to specially mention Catherine and the kitchen staff, they were so kind and attentive during our stay.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at this hotel. The staff was quite welcoming and kind. The Hotel facilities are new and well kept. I loved their breakfast, which was made to order and tasty.

The smoking in the hotel needs to stop. It's not in the room, but it's in the hallway, downstairs. Smoking needs to be done outside, not everybody wants to inhale, a cigarette smell. Otherwise, everything is good

Bodde her i forbindelse med Safari i Sør-Afrika. 2 netter i Johannesburg. Fantastisk service og hjelpsomhet. Super bistand med transport, sightseeing i Johannesburg og anbefalinger på spisesteder. Lite og veldig koselig hotell med høy standard. Anbefales virkelig.

I enjoyed the customer service by my host, Warren. He was so accommodating to my needs and questions. This was far better than a corporate chain of hotels. From the time I checked in to my last day, he had a great smile, the staff had impeccable service. He even made sure I had hot breakfast before my early safari tour! I would recommend this place to book whenever you are in Johannesburg, South Africa. I will be booking here again in the future! 😊

We would highly recommend staying here. The staff are friendly accomodating and made us feel at home. The room is very clean and the property beautiful. Warren is an exceptional host and works hard to ensure your stay is perfect. The breakfast is wonderful and the dinner (we had fish) was super yummy 😋 Thank you all for taking such good care of us.

The owner of the property was great, very friendly and super flexible. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a very short drive to Eastgate and Bedford Centre not too far away

Peaceful, very clean, and friendly!

We had a delightful stay at Brooks Cottage for my daughter's graduation. The room was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. We slept like rocks on the comfortable mattresses with the airconditioning blasting away the Pretoria heat. Norma and her husband were wonderful hosts, offering friendly conversation over a delicious freshly prepared breakfast. Would highly recommend!

Outstanding place to stay while on business

Simply amazing stay. Warren was an excellent host, and nothing was too much trouble. I had dinner in their restaurant, and it was seriously outstanding. I will definitely be staying there again when next I have to travel to JHB on business.

Johannesburg Gem

On rare occasions, you find a place not expecting very much and then you're gobsmacked by how amazing a find it is. 1945 On Kloof is one of those places. Located in a quite neighborhood that is central to everything in Johannesburg this boutique hotel astounds. Staff are superb and go out if their way to make your stay perfect. The manager, Warren, acknowledges and responds to every request with a desire to ensure the needs of every guest is met. Food is great for such a small establishment and everything cooked fresh. Rooms are small but with all modern conveniences and so clean it feels like you're the first guest there. This hotel is now a firm favorite and I'll recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful, safe place to stay in Johannesburg.
