Our check in (booked through Expedia) was awful. Guy couldn’t find our reservation. It was 1:30 am by the time we got to town, so we were unamused. I had to produce my confirmation email and suddenly he could find it. Had to spell Ford and spell Explorer to register our vehicle. There were tons of open rooms and instead of being put in the refurbished rooms, we got an old room that smelled like old cigarette smoke. The property manager was nice and the refurbished lobby area and newer rooms were awesome. Great AC, comfortable beds (although very small). It was a great price! They just need to retrain or skim the employees who don’t have a handle on customer service.

The property is under renovation, the room we stayed in was updated. It was clean and comfortable for a night for the price. What I did not know upon booking was that there was a $150 deposit due at check in; pretty outrageous for this property in my opinion. I would have chosen another property in this price range had I known. Staff stated this is a new policy in the past month.

The room itself was fantastic, but the area around the property isn’t great and the service was HORRENDOUS. The employee that helped us check in was totally unprofessional, talking about how much she hated her job and that it was “ret*rded”. The person in front of us had been given keys to someone else’s room and the employee at check out didn’t even acknowledge us. There’s also random cars in the lot with people sleeping in them. Don’t recommend this place at all.

I liked the property for the most part. The room/bathroom wasn’t the most clean as I could see previous hair in the bathtub. The construction that has been done is a very crappy job with caulking, paint, missing toilet paper fixtures, and outlets not working. The pillows were horrible but I liked the aesthetic of the room and halls for the most part. It was quiet which was nice.

Its an older property that is being refurbished and modernized. The room was awesome, good bed, TV, plenty of plug in spots. The only tiny minor thing was a step-in shower with those cloth shower curtains that dont keep water from running on the floor. The hallway didn't feel as updated yet, but it was clean and safe. The lobby and breakfast area is very nicely modernized. Breakfast was continental plus as there were microwave sausages, etc. Great value and easy to get into downtown or N KC Hospital/Cerner areas.
