My wife and I stayed at Throstle Nest for 2 nights this week and had a great time.The Skiptonn area provides a lot to do and see and we found this Band B to be an excellent base.The setting is great with country views from the bedroom which was really well appointed with all facilities on tap.

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. was a great couple of days away, bathroom fan could have done with a clean and cobwebs in main bedroom, but nothing to spoil our stay. Hotel was very grand and lived up to our expectations.

Having read several less than complimentary reviews, I have to say this was a first class experience. Many rooms and most of interior are refurbished. Breakfast excellent. Great value for money and will definitely return.

I was hoping that this hotel was out of the town and was a little concerned when I saw the location was in the suburbs of Halifax however was pleasantly surprised at the peace and lack of noise both traffic and neighbourly. It was the best night's sleep i've had in a hotel lovely comfy bed and the cleanliness 10 out of 10. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food very good . I really couldn't fault this hotel.

This is a very nice place to stay and the Inn over the road is a great place to eat. The rooms and communal areas have been very tastefully decorated and it is very comfortable. Only one point, some of the rooms overlook a road which is surprisingly busy even in the middle of the night - not great if you are a light sleeper.
