A Central Florida hidden gem (but let's keep it that way) is Kelly Park. #Trovember Fed by the Rock Springs Run, the park is the perfect natural lazy river. You can rent tubes outside the park, but spend a few bucks and bring your own flotation. There are several pavilions to use, if they aren't reserved, but also lots of shady spots. The trails around the area are wonderful, and there is always the playground if the kids get bored of the water and beach. Best to go when kids are in school because the park fills by 10am during the summer. It is a perfect getaway from Orlando city life.
My favorite springs to kayak so far is in Orlando! Take a break from all the commercialism of the “Mouse” and enjoy this lazy river spring it’s fantastic and so clear and peaceful. Early March is an excellent time to go. They also have see through “glass” kayak’s you can rent and bioluminescence trips at certain times of the year
