"The gentleman that checked me in was very nice. He made the check-in easy. At first, I was taken aback by the room - very, very dated. The furniture is so dark and old. The rug has stains all over but it was vacuumed. The sheets were clean and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The mini pillows (yes, they are half the size of regular ones) were the best pillows I have had in a hotel for a long time. I wish I could have stolen the one I was sleeping on. The toiletries were a nice surprise. The toilet and the shower were very clean. The light switch in the bathroom wasn't secured, but it worked. The walls and door in the bathroom looked like they tried to do something, but never finished it. There's little nail holes and unpainted parts. The room was very quiet. The AC was wonderful. I could feel it hitting me on the other side of the room. I did not eat breakfast there, but the area looked clean to me. Overall, if you're looking for a place to spend the night and not lounge around all day, this is the place for you. I would sleep there and that's it. They do have a television, but I didn't use it. I would recommend this hotel. Even though it's dated, it's very clean. The check-in and checkout process were seamless. It's quiet and I got a good night's sleep there. "

The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina

"Check in was easy. Young gentleman was very kind (can’t recall his name). Great location to walk to many places. Gorgeous outdoor views. Indoor pool was ok kept us cool. Outdoor patio would be nice if there were cushions on lounges and if music continued out on the deck. Restaurant for breakfast was great and not a bad price. Day of check in our room had debris on the floor and under the bed. Won’t mention what was found on floor, but unacceptable. Didn’t get to talk to manager but front desk decided to waive the daily destination fee (which I wasn’t aware of). Wish front desk mentioned complimentary coffee to us in the lobby. Spent $7-8 a day for a morning coffee. Also the $35 per day parking! Otherwise enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack Chairs facing the Bay and all the gorgeous yachts. If I stayed again maybe would pick a room with a view. Definitely would recommend it based on views and location."

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Warwick-Providence (Arpt) by IHG

"The parking was free and easy. They have a lot in the front, as well as in the back with 24/7 access to the hotel with a key. The rooms were clean and comfortable, some things were a little worn like the table and head boards and the tv was outdated. Besides that everything worked fine and I was able to connect a Roku to the tv. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, scrambled eggs, meat and pancakes. Overall a good experience and would stay here again."

"Booked “King Room” for 3-people - checked/selected 3-people in the box, keeping in mind there will be extra bed (sofa, or roll away bed prepaired-ready to use for 3-rd person). Check in was 3-PM, drove from Burlington VT (4.5 hrs), coming to hotel around 2-PM, called at 1-PM from road asking for early 2-PM check in, not granted! So, went to Newport, RI, came to hotel before 9-PM, and got room with ONE king bed, nothing more for 3-rd person (15-yrs old grandson). Asked for help, called front desk 2x, went to front desk 3x, asking: please, help! Need two beds room, or extra bed! Answer: we all booked out. 2-people at front desk were not really interested in helping, showing they are busy, looking into screens. Finally, tired after the long day, the gentleman came in, and set up roll away bed around 11-PM!!, for $35 extra money. This should be included. Paid $369 with breakfast for 3, plus $35 for rollaway bed. Decided do not complaint, next time won’t go there. Breakfast prepaid, simple menu ala carte, nothing special, hotel OK, lower class hotel, but.. not cheap! Close to Foxwood Casino, but not interested in it."
