Our first visit to Dorchester House in Keswick and UK lake country was a wonderful experience. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Liked the English breakfast and all the fresh fruit and baked goods. Proprietor Lorraine saved the day for us on the morning of our departure. Construction in Keswick forced Stagecoach bus route closures and eliminated the main routes. Without getting us a last minute private car, we would have missed our train to Edinburgh from Penrith station. Would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a friendly experience to use as a home base to explore Derwentwater and the other scenic UK lakes

Staff are friendly, approachable and will do anything to help you have a pleasant stay. Rooms clean and powerful showers. Loads of storage space. Breakfast was amazing and first time when offered a range of options - you must try the Overnight Oats! Just what we needed before some big hikes.
