"From top to bottom this place was great! The location was nice, very chill vibe in the area, sort of away from the craziness of staying further down Duval St. The staff was great, super nice and accommodating, helpful, and went out of their way you were having a great time and that you felt the accommodations were great.
Our room was beautiful. Thankfully we were on the upper level, somewhat in the courtyard surrounding the Pineapple pool because the roaming roosters are not tame and they have no shame in starting to rouse the guests unreasonably early in the AM. The fowl are quite native to the area and are protected. We didn’t hear anything from our room but friends of ours were quite annoyed by these guys every morning! The landscaping here was really pretty, too.
Also out of the control of the resort itself was the influx of seaweed/sea grass that migrates its way onto the shoreline, especially on the Atlantic side of the island. This truly made the odor intolerable for me personally as I was not able to enjoy any of the amenities on that side of the resort during this visit. We found out that this happens every year desiring the summer months so it was not isolated to our visit.
I would definitely visit again, requesting a room near the location we were in this time! Also, guests should know that they resort holds a $1000 amount for incidentals at the time of check-in. We were not advised of this prior to arrival and would have planned a bit differently if we had."
