Short, cheap stay with no frills...and no English
For the price I have no complaints. It was clean enough and had good airco and wifi. I didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but used it as a private escape while visiting family in the area.
That said, if you reserve here you should know the staff cannot speak English. At one moment, another international guest was trying to figure out the check-out time with the reception and the lady insulted them in Russian. I guess she didn’t think we’d pay attention, but my wife, who speaks Russian very well understood perfectly and was offended by the lady’s behaviour.
They didn’t freshen the room unless I asked. They also do not seem to be well connected with booking agencies as they didn’t have my reservation on arrival and weren’t even sure how to charge me until the third day.
Finally, don’t be wowed by the idea of an indoor pool. It is a small, private area they charge extra for and the pool is not big enough to actually swim. If you want to use it for a little “romance” I suppose it would be suitable for that.
The place has potential, but they are not really prepared for international guests making it suitable only for a short, cheap stay in Charkov.
