I've stayed at many cheap, old, rundown motels. I don't care too much if people live in the place, or the room is a little dirty, or the towel bar is broken or whatever. When I went to check in, the man behind the bulletproof glass told me to let him know ASAP if I changed my mind after seeing the room and wanted a refund.
