When we arrived, there was a ton of confusion. A film crew was setting up to film scenes in an upcoming Amazon film. We were directed to the rear of the property as we were mistaken as some of the crew. When we finally did get to check in with the front desk they told us that "this was only going on for the next few days" which meant our entire stay. Next, after settling into our room, our vehicle was entirely surrounded by gear belonging to the film crew. There was poor communication between the film crew and the Motel staff, and the staff at the motel was perplexed as to why this might be an inconvenience.
Additionally, there was water squishing up through the vinyl plank flooring from below onto the surface of the floor. Perhaps they had flooding from a burst pipe earlier. but they should have better addressed the issue before renting the room.
Communication about a large film crew on the premises before renting the room would have been a large plus as well.
