"We arrived from Canada early in the morning, and although our room was not ready, they did have a room that we could have. There was an additional fee for the early check-in, which we gladly paid. What we did not know was that it was a handicap room, which was not something we needed and, had we known, we would probably have turned it down. We did not partake of their breakfast, but had bought some items and used both the fridge and the microwave oven.

"The room was clean and well stocked. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
The location is good for walking to the train station, the bus station and to shops.
However, there are many stairs to enter into the building. The staff assisted with the luggage on check-in and check out.

"The room itself was terrific. Large, great for long stays as it had a full kitchen and washing machine. No AC but that seems to be quite common in the UK. The check in process was terrible. The office closes at some point (which wasn’t included on the listing) so we stood there for a long time with our luggage. We tried calling ‘emergency numbers’ with no answer. "Several issues with the booking and stay mean we would not return.
We booked for four days, but the £100 security deposit still had not been released four weeks later despite multiple follow-ups. This has significantly undermined our confidence in the vendor.
The room was not cleaned during our stay, and no fresh towels were provided. More seriously, the owner entered our room unannounced one morning without knocking, which we found alarming and unacceptable. Make of that what you will.
