"The lodge does not actually exist. We arrived at the building, and the outside matched the pictures. However there was no sign and no staff at the place. With the assistance of some helpful neighbours from the street, we learned that it was available for long term rental. A supervisor (who arrived on bike after being called by one of the neighbours) opened the gates so that we could see the “lodge”. It was completely empty and bereft of any furniture). "it is a good stop over to volcano national park. about 20 mins drive. the property is okay. it was well kept. the room was gorgeous but the mattress was terrible. it is hard and gave me backache. the breakfast can be made better. the staff is nice. "
