"An absolute gem of a hotel! The building is absolutely beautiful and feels like it has been there forever, even in the new parts. The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. They filter their water so you can use the taps no problem to brush teeth but they provide lots of bottled water as well. "I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
