"The food was great, we had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and everything was really good. We spent a lot of time on the patio off our room, which was beautiful, and walked along the stream/river at the back of the hotel lawn. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We were very happy with our stay."

"We had a fantastic minimoon at Crinan!! Food is 11/10. Staff 11/10! Location is absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a room with a balcony and the views are out of this world. The boat trip on Ross Ryan’s boat The Sgarbh was incredible. We saw seals and Sea Eagles and sailed around the islands. This hotel is a true Scottish gem!"

"Sehr schönes Hotel, optisch top. Zimmer zwar klein, aber auch superschön. Leider ziemlich hellhörig und Restaurant/Essbereich sehr klein. Es war aber alles super organisiert und das Essen an sich war wirklich sehr gut, wir haben dort gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen. Das Personal war am ersten Abend irgendwie komisch drauf, als hätten sie Stress miteinander. Dadurch wirkten sie irgendwie unfreundlich. Am Morgen waren aber alle sehr freundlich und nett."

"Very poorly maintained hotel and overly priced for what you get. Their excuse is it’s a “old building” and they are working on repairs but in my view this does not excuse the price point or lack of maintenance. Would not recommend and will never be back."

"Whisky vaults has a great bar with live music, if we hadn’t been staying we would have missed a really good night. Room was clean with a comfy bed although the bathroom was very compact with very little room to manoeuvre. We had booked room only but were given a breakfast bag at check-in which was an unexpected surprise."

"The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean."

"The property is beautifully decorated, carpetedand furnished, could not be better. The towels, the bathroom all exceptional. The extras such as coffee machine (not that I like all that pod stuff) but fresh milk and chilled water in the mini fridge, all great."
