Due to an overbooking error on hotel side, we were relocated to a sister property adjacent to Hotel Unicus - Wyndham Grand at Floriańska street. While we accepted this move in good faith, the alternative accommodation provided was entirely unacceptable and failed to meet the basic requirements of our booking.
I specifically booked Hotel Unicus on Sławkowska Street for its reputation as a quiet location, free from nightlife disturbances. This was a prerequisite for our stay, as we required a restful night prior to a 5:00 AM train departure.
The room we were assigned faced one of the most active nightlife streets in Kraków + trumpet from Mariacka tower was blaring into our room every hour . The windows lacked any effective soundproofing. From 1:00 AM onwards, we were subjected to an unrelenting barrage of noise, including shouting, police sirens, and street altercations.
Because of the noise levels, we had interrupted 2 hours of sleep in total. This directly undermined the primary purpose of our booking—to depart "fresh" for the train station. Instead, we began our journey exhausted due to facility's inability to provide a quiet environment.
