Had a great stay. The Clarion is in a nice part of town with easy walking distance to dining and shopping. Rooms are quaint and comfortable. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast was very good.

Bed bugs in the hotel room

We found bed bugs in the first room (number 506). I went to the reception desk with video and they moved us to another room. Otherwise the hotel has a very central location in Kristiansand. The room was quite small and breakfast was good.

Cheap hotel trying to be a boutiqe hotel

Checked out after one day and moved to a neighbor hotel. The size of the family room was good. The room felt dirty, showering there the whole bathroom got wet. In general the hotel tries to be a "design hotel", but you so clearly feel how cheap all the design elements are.... Got a new hotel closer to the water and still enjoyed our stay in Kristiansand.

Parking was a little far away. I was not offered on site parking. We had an interior room. It would’ve been nice to have an exterior room. All that being said the room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a coffee maker in the room as well as a tea kettle. The buffet breakfast is outstanding probably the best we had in Norway.
