"Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. "Highly highly recommend! As soon as you step foot into the hotel, the service was amazing! The staff did not speak great English, but we were able to use simple words to communicate. The property itself is immaculate! No shoes are allowed as soon as you entered the hotel. I wore my white socks around the hotel all day and the bottom was still clean at the end of the day. You always see someone mopping or cleaning. The complimentary services (coffee, matcha, water, ice cream, soba noodles) was such a fantastic treat. Their breakfast buffet is a must because it is so delicious. The late night soba is also a must! The onsite onsen is also a must try. There were so many different pools and it was super clean! Overall, this is the best hotel we’ve have stayed at. The price per night is a great steal for this 5-star hotel!"

"Really nice hotel with fairly spacious room for Japan. The entrance and lobby area is lovely. Short walk to goju station only 1 stop from Kyoto, and easy walk to Gion with loads of bar and restaurant options. Great lounge in the basement with complimentary drinks and snacks and beautiful onsen and gym also. Only downside was the breakfast was quite expensive with not a huge selection compared to others on my trip. I would like to see more fresh fruit available. Otherwise my stay here was really perfect."
