Was able to check in early after a long flight and early morning arrival from the USA

The hotel is very nice with excellent service. Unfortunately if you want to sleep this is not the place to stay. They play loud music across from the hotel in front of the Cathedral. It some nights went until midnight. You can hear it from the rooms. Only negative but it is a big one.

Check-in within the specified time was very simple (taking into consideration feedback that other people provided in reviews about the pain outside of these hours). Car parking can't be reserved in advance (although I requested) which is stressful when you have a car. High standard of accommodation, ...

Annoyed to find out my child 11 could not use the pool its over 18 spa next door and not actually part of the hotel again that was not clear on the description. I would not go there alone, had to cross empty car park which has unsafe paving to metro.

It was quiet and although a little further out of town than where we usually stay getting into town wasn’t a problem
The hotel is directly opposite a great shopping mall and a large carrefour there’s a really cute little cafe that does great coffee and pastries less than 50m from the hotel. Great hotel as a convenient & quiet base for a city holiday in Barcelona
From what we could see walking around to The mall and metro station it was a nice area
