"Really close walk to the beach and restaurants, as well as Manuel Antonio Park. Location was great! Hotel is a boutique, and smaller, but was really nice. Seemed like most of the hotels in the area were also boutique."

"We enjoyed our stay here. Location is fantastic with lots of restaurants nearby. We found more monkeys in the resort than in the rainforest, which the kids enjoyed. Very easy to get to the town Quepos nearby to experience life like the locals do. Depending on the beach you want to go, they are within 3-5 mins drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend"

"The location is gorgeous! Our villa was ok for us (2 adults, 4 teens) but could have been better. It was 2 levels but you had to go outside to get between the two floors. Having a private beach with chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards was a big plus."

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful the whole time we were there. We enjoyed our free breakfast, too, and the free nature guided hike in the hotel."

"We had an amazing stay at Makanda by the Sea. The property is absolutely beautiful, but what really made the trip special was the staff. They helped coordinate everything before we arrived, including our private airport transfers, excursions, dinner reservations, and even made sure my gluten-free meals were taken care of throughout our stay.
