"Staff was friendly and professional, as the previous reviews we read indicated. Parking was secure and convenient. Although nearby drainpipe repairs impacted the entrance to the hotel, the workaround was fine and did not negatively affect our stay. The neighborhood was full of great places to eat, all within safe walking distance. We especially loved hearing the roosters nearby crowing as we exited and entered the hotel! Made it seem like we were in a relaxed, pastoral setting. We will be back! Highly recommend!"

"The day time staff were amazing! Friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. There was a smell in our room which was close to a stale cigarette smell but we adjusted. The breakfast was okay and we enjoyed the fresh fruit. We will stay again if we are in the area."

"The property is old and run down. Others commented about bed bugs and roaches. I did not experience that. I inspected the mattresses and would have left immediately. The room had a bed with clean linens and a door which locked. But…The floors were filthy…literally sticky and dirty. Filth had accumulated in corners and along baseboards for a long time. There was hair in the shower. Filthy… I did not use the TV. The remote was coated with a layer filth. …unsanitary? There were gaps around the door which allowed sunlight, noise and outdoor air to enter. Ceiling tiles were damaged. The tv had paint splatter because ‘repairs’ were sloppy, apparently not done by professionals or done “on the cheap”. It was not a nice place…barely adequate. Don’t be confused by the 5/5 or 10/10 reviews. There is no way they should exist unless some sort of incentive was offered for high ratings. Perhaps those people have different standards than I do but it is among the worst I have ever stayed in. I understand this is an economy property. But….Older/dated properties can be fine if they’re clean and maintained. The staff is very friendly… I’ll give them that. Avoid this property. "

"Hotel was in a great location, right off trolly stop. cafes and restaurants near by. Quiet area. Bluebike racks were right across St Charles, which was very convenient. Staff was super attentive and welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage until we could check in, and had early check in as well. "

"I loved the location of this hotel- in a beautiful part of New Orleans. The design was stunning. I also loved the sense of place. I would stay here again for sure!"
