The island bus service is very good for getting around the island and sight seeing. Staff are very helpful and friendly."

While I would fully recommend the property, it was disappointing to turn up and find no availability at the spa despite staying three nights/four days. Also, the hotel added on a service charge of £10/day on checkout despite having already paid a 12.5% service charge in the restaurants & bars (which made up 100% of our bill given we had pre-paid). The option is there to take the service charge off but in my view, it is...

The only downside was lack of car parking. Sic spaces which are first come first serve basis but we luckily didn't have any trouble."

"Brilliant location. 2 minutes to the heart of St Peter Port and 5 minutes to the Herm Ferry, 10 minutes to the bus station. Wonderful restaurants around. Staff were really helpful and lovely. We lost a key late at night and it was sorted with a smile. Breakfast ladies were fabulous. Hotel was clean (being cleaned all the time), breakfast was very nice and rooms were clean and spacious. We benefited from gorgeous weather , so the outside bar area was lively and fun. Highly recommend."

"Couldn't fault the hotel or staff. Whatever you asked for, it was no trouble at all. Our room was fine with a balcony that overlooked the harbour. Plenty to eat at breakfast. You can start with continental and then have a cooked meal if you want. The only drawback for us was the number of steps and sloping paths/ roads you need to negotiate to reach the hotel. That said, we would recommend this hotel."

"Attractive hotel and garden. Excellent breakfast choice and efficient and friendly breakfast staff. I enjoyed the pool in the spa area and my husband loved the private hot tub on our patio. Our maid/housekeeping attendant was called Navjot, special mention for her efficient and excellent service, she made our stay very comfortable. Nice touch with arrangement of towels etc. Only unfortunate aspect is noise from private events on Fri and Sat in one or two of the ground floor rooms, the music did...

I found it be peaceful, I was at the rear of the property, and particularly liked the second door into the room, which I'm shielded me from any hallway activity. Pool was lovely, and breakfast excellent. Friday, live music :-)"
