Beautiful boat ride to your cabin

We loved the spot. Beautiful place on the river. The advertisement on Hotels com didn't mention that you can't drive to the cabin. You have to call or text and someone will come and get you on the boat. The ride is great, but we would have liked to have known about it beforehand. We like to just go somewhere without having to bother someone to get to the other side of the river! So I guess my complaint is with the ad. Breakfast was just delicious. Fresh fruit was our favorite. I'd definitely recommend, but with more information

It's really a beautiful location right on the river, and transportation to restaurants and the airport was quick and reliable. The place is now for sale and really could use some TLC and general repairs and more maintenance. But the air conditioner worked, the sheets were clean, and it was a very nice environment.

We stayed at this property after arrival and before departure from Belize. It is less than 2 miles from the airport. The facility is currently for sale. One room had a very noisy air conditioner. The other room was very suitable. Staff was very friendly.

Property needs upgrading. The rooms are old and rundown. Bedding is not comfortable, inadequate water and shower doesn’t work well. On the positive side, the staff are very attentive and customer focused.

We liked having to take a boat ride over to the inn. Very unique. Since it was raining so hard we didn't get a chance to walk around. The breakfast was adequate , we had enough to eat.

We found this to be a unique place in need of a bit of a tuneup. First and foremost, the on site staff of Kevin and Genelle are wonderful and kind. There is a nice dock for enjoying a beer. Our room had a country feel, which we hoped to have. Food was a bit challenging to get delivered but we made due. Kevin was prompt in getting us out on time to catch our flight. Avoid conversation with the onsite owner - I’ll just leave it at that. Anyway, it’s a fun place but go with tempered expectations.

We loved the hosts ! They were very friendly and receptive ! Very pretty view ! Saw a crocodile floating in the river which was super cool ! Cute place to stay and the view of the river was gorgeous ! The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was clean ! Highly recommended !!

Mario was great when I stayed there. Very helpful and attentive. The location is convenient if you just need a place to stay before or after a flight without venturing into Belize City. The facility is a bit run down but it's common for Belize as the country is still trying to rebuild from COVID.

The highlight of our stay were a pair of brawling iguanas right in front of our cabin! River Bend is a convenient 5 minute drive from the airport. The staff is exceptionally accommodating, and they went out of their way to help us feel (and be!) safe. It is a rustic location, which was perfect for us, as we are experienced rural travelers. Note that the last leg of the trip involves a 1 to 3 minute boat ride. There is a fully stocked grocery store nearby - once you are on the other side of the river it is a walkable distance, but I recommend that you strongly consider the taxi, as the driver gave us a lot of additional information.

This resort is close to the airport but on the far side of the river. The facilities are clean and more than adequate perhaps because the resort is listed for sale.There is no restaurant on site and the staff is a little skimpy.

Didn't tell us we needed to board a boat when we booked. Said 2 miles from airport. One of us in a wheelchair and one coming from Africa. Tried to cancel immediately and would not let us. So a total rip off. No refund hence bad review. It's worth it to be honest when advertising

The resort is quiet, isolated, clean, and well protected. Older but decently maintained. Ashley and Ben were amazing. They take excellent care of their guests. The food and bar service is limited, but nice. If you want a quiet reasonably affordable place to stay this is the place for you. It is well protected by the dogs that live on the place which are very good natured and friendly if you are suppose to be there. Which they seem to know. Loveable puppies and dogs.

Location is nice but would have liked better instructions to the hotel. A sign on the road indicating where to turn to get to the hotel would have been a big help. Also a bit more assistance with checking into the cabanas. No hot water.
