"the property was located in a very good and safe area. Very walkable to the downtown, the pool had an excellent view of the ocean/port. Morning breakfast was available and with many options, The shower/bathroom was nice and spacious. A good overall stay."

"The no airconditioning would not be a problem if the windows openned fully. We barely had a breeze in our room and it finally cooled down by around midnight most nights. The property is really great with it's own ocean swimming spot down the way, but the pool was extremely poorly maintained."

This place is superb for a great relaxing holiday. If you want discos and nightlife like that then don’t bother. This place is lovely and tranquil and great for getting away from it all, the views are beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

The two attractions within walking distance at Calheta are the sugar mill and the Museum of Contemporary Art. I visited both but obviously they won't be of interest to everyone.
