The property was overpriced for what it is. The fire alarm went off at 4:12am and was on for over 20 minutes outside our door, until the fire dept could get it shut off. There is no staff overnight at the property. The worst part is that we had to leave by 6am due to road closures for the Ironman, so being woken up at 4:12am for a false alarm wasn’t ideal.

If you are looking for an inexpensive roof over your head and not much else, this is the place. Overall property is very dated 1970's - 80's and worn down. Lots of peeling paint and rust. The room was dimmly lit and the bed was just ok. The water was hot but didnt stay the same temperature, it would go slightly up or down in temperature while you were showering. The worst part was the drain did not drain very fast. So if you take any longer than 5 minutes in the shower you were ankle deep in water.

Always a good choice. The perk is that you have a pool and access to hot tub. After a long hike just what you need. I came late and they left the keys, they were very friendly. I always choose this one.

This is a very low end place to stay, however, I do not think that is a bad thing, it depends on your purpose. Me and a couple of friends were going on a hike, and this motel style Inn was perfect. I had my car directly next to the room that I was staying at for easy access to all my things. If you wanna stay at a good quality hotel for its amenities, do not come here. If you want convenience at a cheap price, this is the best place to be.

I liked nothing about this place. It was extremely dirty they didn't even have washcloths in the bathroom. The curtains was hanging off and they were Dusty and filthy. The lights didn't even work the phone didn't even work to call for service

If you are looking for a clean, nice place to stay, this isn't it! The rooms are filthy, the shower was broken, building and grounds are a mess and outdated. And the worst part... BEDBUGS! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE

Rodeway is perfect for a hiker or anyone wanting to meander all day in the village area. If you’re going to Lake Placid to sit in a hotel room this is not where you want to stay. Not immaculate cleanliness and a little outdated however, no bugs, working AC, and the pool and hot tub area was a plus. We are particular with our pillows and bedding no matter where we stay we bring our own. The beds were comfy and the staff was there when we needed them. We will be staying here again in the future.

Haha! My review?! All good at check in. Once in the room, you can see that there is a space between the front door itself and the door frame. The wallpaper is peeling off the wall in the bathroom and the back window doesn’t lock. As I settle for the night, I realize that it’s getting cold and try to set up the heater only to realize the little heater under the bathroom counter is the only one working which is not enough for the room. Went to tell the front desk, the lady came to the room, went to check the fuses, couldn’t figure out what was wrong, called a handyman, he arrived in a timely manner, checked the outlet and noticed something had burnt in it. He replaced the outlet, but it didn’t fixed the problem. I asked for portable heater, the handyman brought two but only one worked. He ended up leaving it was past 10:30pm. By then, the bathroom heater was no longer working… So I slept with my winter jacket and Sorel boots on. Earlier, the lady at the front desk suggested I move in another motel across the street but it was already late at night and I think it was odd that they still had room available across the street, in a motel (Carriage House Motor Inn… that you can’t book online) during a sold out weekend in LP. I asked for a compensation for the disruption and lack of heating, they said the manager was difficult about this and at check out, I was told I have to contact Expedia directly.

Worst hotel ever. Desk closes at 11 and said they would leave room door open and keys inside. Arrived 12:30 and room was locked in a sold out town. No room service next days. Paint peeling, wall paper coming off, rusted heater. Bed blanket was disgusting. We left two days early.

Room was very clean. Overall cleanliness wasn’t too great. Building needs some TLC. Spa was a mess. Water level was incredibly low, and the jets were spraying everywhere. Pool didn’t look too great. It’s fine for a quick budget trip.

For the price it was disappointing. The lampshade was being held in with masking tape. The phone did not work. But it was an indoor pool and hottub. And we slept well, so it was decent when you looked past the dated decor and other issues.
