If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. The house manager should, I think, mark the floor level changes with bright tape because it takes a while to remember where they are. The house is pleasant and cosy and we enjoyed staying...

"This is the 3rd time we have enjoyed staying at High Peaks in a waterfront room. The property is well maintained, clean and the staff friendly! The location is ideal-direct access to the lake & activities if you'd like - and only a short walking distance to restaurants/shops, etc. Unfortunately, we were positioned next to a very loud group of young adults who were up all night, but tried our best to tune them out with our noise machine. The shower also leaked all over the floor no matter how well we closed it - we ended up placing towels on the floor."

"Hotel was nice and rustic which gave it its charm. Reminded me of a European hotel, which I guess is why it’s named after the ski resort in Switzerland. My only criticism was that our door lock malfunctioned when we tried to get out of the room on Saturday morning which wasn’t good. Eventually it was fixed and working properly when we got back. But that’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5."
