The front desk customer check in person could not change the room because "I did not use their website and manager was in Reno". The dog area grass was not cut, and we caught a tick. Otherwise, it is a great hotel to stay in with a companion dog."

"Smelly, old, dated furniture, king bed had taken 90% of the space. This dump needs to be rebuilt from scratch. Arrived at 3 and was told it will cost me more to check an hour early! Just awful. Paid 150 for garbage! I feel cheated! Stay away from this dump."

There were some indications, such as dust on the windowsill and a plastic bottle cap under the dresser, that they don’t pay a lot of attention to cleaning. The hotel is very close to the interstate, and if it weren’t for the noisy window air conditioner, the sound of traffic would’ve been too much. "Loved our stay, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was central to Shasta/Burney and gave the feel of old world charm. The only reason to give 4 star was that it would be great if there were light filtering drapes, the blind was letting too much light in making it hard to sleep after 6am, that's how I like 'dark' but rest of the stay was lovely."

"Overall great stay! Only complaint is the window coverings, they give you privacy but do not block the sunlight at all. If you want to sleep past 8 am you should bring a sleep mask otherwise the room will be filled with light. A small investment in black out drapes would make a world of difference."
