"Have stayed there many times for over 30 years. Always top notch."

"First time staying in an AVID hotel. The room/bathroom was clean, and neat. I did experience some road noise from my room while my traveling companion whose room was on the opposite side of the hall did not. The breakfast bar was good both mornings I was there."

"The man that checked us in treated us like we were duh. And the whole atmosphere wasn’t welcoming. There was very little toilet paper in the room and he hardly wanted to give more. The lady the next day was nice. We ordered our towels to be changed and that never happened. We will not be staying here again."

"Very charming property that was previously an Amish homestead. The backyard is so pretty with ferns and other plants. We hope to stay there again."

"Great location for hitting the local sites, but the hotel is kind of old and a little outdated. The air conditioner in my room leaked condensation into the carpet, but given the outdoor temperature of 100 degrees, it was a relief to have. Guests were swimming in the outdoor pool. Complimentary breakfast was not very appealing. Plenty of hot water for showering, though."

"The room was clean but we were taken back that there were no drawers. We went to the pool and initially there were no towels but we contacted the staff and the issue was resolved quickly. The breakfast was okay but we have had better selections in the past at different hotels that offered breakfast."

"We had a great stay. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, and the pool was amazing our kids loved it. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and stores within a 10-minute drive. The only downsides were that the room felt a little too dark, and the bathtub’s soap, shampoo, and conditioner holder had some mold on it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!"

"Our stay was okay overall. The hotel was under renovation, so we were assigned a handicap-accessible room. Check-in was easy, the location was convenient, and we appreciated that coffee was available at all times. We also appreciated that they welcomed our dog, Lola, for a reasonable $25 pet fee. The accessible room wasn’t the best fit for us. The bed was right next to the air conditioner, which made it uncomfortable for my husband, and the bathroom had only a wall-mounted sink with a small...

"My family liked everything about this hotel. The location was great. We were in the second building from the road, so it was enough quiet for good sleeping. We were impressed by the room size and room cleanliness. And their coffee and tea near the reception desk were really good! Thank you!"

"They don't fix the small things, like the door not locking cause it's unleveled, the light buttons are broken, the ceiling light does not work. Its the same problems every year I've visited, they don't put money in to fix anything. I come here cause it's your own cottage and you can stand outside and enjoy instead of being locked in a hotel room. Please invest money in to fix some things up. But it is cheaper than other places too."
