"Before you judge the accommodations, keep in mind this historic hotel was built as a family home/farm in the 1800's. If you are looking for luxury accommodations then this is not for you, and if the room is the most important thing then you are truly missing the point of what this area has to offer. The rooms face the most beautiful lake and in the morning a homemade breakfast with your coffee and take it all in, look at the lock and watch as boats make their way....the hosts Jeff and Core are...

"From the moment I arrived the front desk women were fabulous. They made my stay very comfortable and even remembered my name. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was conveniently located in the lobby area. The pool was freezing though, I couldn’t use it. The rooms were clean and didn’t smell bad. "Peter and Colin were amazing hosts! Very friendly and knowledgable. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The freshly baked cookies and handmade soaps were a lovely touch. Breakfast was wonderful - we had vegetable crepes with sausage/bacon with poached eggs and zucchini muffins the first day, and scrambled eggs eith sausage/bacon, freshly baked biscuits with apricot and strawberry jam, and banana mini-muffins the next day in their beautiful kitchen.
