"I don’t usually write reviews and was very skeptical about this hostel when I booked it since it’s so low cost (I paid USD $15 for 3 nights including taxes). I took a chance on it due to all the prior/raving reviews... so here I am writing one in case you have the same doubt! This is a relatively newly opened hostel and on my arrival, Mr Lai Lee put me in a separate room so I can have some privacy to myself. "There are flies everywhere in the kitchen, which is absolutely unacceptable. The air conditioning is on a timer, so in the middle of the night you end up overheating — especially if you like sleeping under blankets. For some reason, they think it’s fine to turn off the AC in guest rooms, yet the lobby AC stays on for them 24/7. How rude and inconsiderate — it feels like they care only about their own comfort, not their guests’. Who puts air conditioning on a timer in a hot country like Laos? On...

"Spotlessly clean rooms, all very comfortable, with everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, even suggested they had a quieter room for us, at the back, even though we hadn't complained! Thank you for that! Lovely relaxed vibe, felt very wecome."

"This was the first hostel I ever stayed in and it’s still my favourite. I stayed in the all-female 12-bunk dorm and the bed was so spacious and comfortable - there was lots of room to put your bags at the end and multiple little shelves to put your things on. The staff were so friendly and the free shuttle to and from the night market was so convenient, I went every night of my stay.
