Great place to stay

The best place to stay in Playa Venao. The pool and hot tub overlook the beach and sunset. The room was very comfortable. The staff are friendly. Great for families with kids. The restaurant had generous portions. It’s steps away from surfing. I have been staying there for years and I highly recommend it.

Great retreat in nature, but also surfers paradise

Was wonderful, loved the location and that is not fully developed, has so many natural areas, green areas, etc. The ocean had big waves so I get why surfers have a great time. Hotel was clean and nice, most importantly safe, and while there was only one restaurant, it was good and had good variety. Service was great - difficult to notice staff but everything was done and clean! As a couple that was amazing!

Our stay was overall very good, the food, staff and atmosphere were all excellent. The room was kept clean and the beds were comfortable. My only concerns were that when we arrived the power was out across the facility for hours. I was surprised that the property did not have a generator. There are also areas that I think could use some maintenance, specifically the water slide which appeared very rusty and structurally unsound. We also had a visitor one day, who lives locally, who was given a very hard time for being there compared to several other visitors who were not asked to pay to be there.

Für einen kurzen Zwischenstop ok

Wir haben im Hotel eine Nacht als Zwischenstop verbracht. Der Bungalow war sehr groß und ruhig gelegen. Die Betten sehr bequem, die Klimaanlage leise und gut. Das Badezimmer groß, insgesamt alles sauber und ordentlich. Die kleinen Details zum Wohlfühlen fehlten leider, keine Gläser, kein Trinkwasser, keine Kaffeemaschine/Tassen, zum Glück gab es einen leeren Kühlschrank sodass wir ein paar gekaufte Wasserflaschen kühlen konnten. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Strand und verfügt über einen schönen großen Pool. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls direkt am Meer gelegen. Die Qualität der Speisen und das Frühstück hat uns enttäuscht, eher Kantinenniveau. Das Publikum ist jung und in Hinsicht Gastronomie wohl eher anspruchslos. Fazit wir haben sehr gut geschlafen aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir das Hotel nicht nutzen. Zu erwähnen ist ausserdem, dass in der unmittelbaren Nähe des Hotels zur Zeit größere Baustellen entstehen.

Great pool and clean rooms

Playa Venao beach is fantastic for families who love swimming and surfing. There are many surf lessons available. Food (especially coffee) is very expensive ($3 for one small cup). Playa Venao Hotel Resort has a beautiful pool that is clean. We found check-in to be quick, but unwelcoming. No one gave us a map, told us where things were or how things worked. Also, they claim to have a fitness room, but it was horrible! There were 6 mismatched and rusty weights and a broken treadmill as well as a bench. Our AC was broken and the maintenance did not come, but they moved our room. The rooms are clean and spacious! The towels smelled clean, but on 2 occasions, there was red lipstick stains. The worst part was that the hotel rents the pool out to people who aren't staying at the hotel. People who paid for the day played their own loud music and took up space and never left the pool. This made us feel like they were trying to make money and overcrowd the pool. Additionally, the pool deck needs to be fixed (broken boards and nails). The food options are very expensive! We ended up eating at other locations.
