"Parking is good we didn’t have a drink in the bar. We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone downhill. Poor maintenance in the bathroom… no hot water for a shower or a wash! Went to breakfast and was told we had to be finished within half an hour… people on the next table… the waitress actually asked them to leave!! My husband complained at reception but they just said ok I’ll let them no… with no apology. Also check in not very welcoming! Also they have spoilt the...

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"Soon as we walked in it smelt like an old peoples home, fusty and old - in need of a good clean. Walls are paper thin, only one pillow each. Bathroom was awful, dirty toilet. Check in was easy enough and we didnt really use the amenities. The only reason we didnt leave and go somewhere else is because it was dirt cheap and we were only staying as it was close to the airport for a early flight. So really you get what you pay for but wouldnt recommend or go back"

The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. "The pub was fantastic all the staff and locals made us feel very welcome even bringing a sausage and a bit of steak out for our dog. The food was amazing all top quality and the room was incredible, double walk in shower and stand alone bath. Just what was needed after a fab day walking Pendle top!! We will defo be back"
