"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. "The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything."

"Very long distances to the rooms. All vehicle chargers broken. Overcrowded, especially at breakfast. Breakfast bacon hard and turned over on itself and cemented to itself. £35 steak tough - no information about how many days hung. Small bowls for cereal, small glasses for orange juice. Good variety of cereals at breakfast. Dining areas always very noisy - loud guffaws and very loud conversations. Guests at dinner in Bermuda shorts. Parking too far away from reception. Staff always helpful. Rooms lovely - large and well designed. Good design throughout hotel, especially pottery."

"We had a great stay at The Store. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony looking down on Broad Street. Thank you! The hotel is immaculate and the beds are very comfortable. After our dinner plans, we had a lovely time in the bar with friends where the seating is comfortable, service was good and drinks choice wide. Our only small complaint was the room doors. They are heavy and really bang when they shut - we were woken by neighbouring rooms in the middle of the night and very early in the morning. Maybe The Store can look into some soft close hinges?!"
