The room was beautiful in terms of showcase design but lacked niceties such as body lotion, biscuits for tea and no mirror other than the bathroom one to do make up check clothing etc The doors (in a shared hallway were very noisy - impossible to close quietly. The pool was full of kids playing ball so abandoned that idea The on site restaurant was ok The whole experience was NOT 5 star.

At check in I asked for walks in the area from the accommodation and the lady said she didn’t know. I would expect the customer services dept to be able to provide that information. I would also expect to be taken to the room rather than pointed in the right direction. Room good as expected for price - disappointing no mirror in bedroom and not good ventilation in bathroom. Milk not provided for tea in room. Restaurant on a sunny Saturday afternoon- plates and glasses weren’t cleared away which is unacceptable - sat on a dirty table full of plates and no one cleared it at all and we were there for an hour. All tables were in same state and Staff hanging around.

The place itself was immaculate. However the moment we checked in we went to the spa where the cryotherapy was broken and we couldn’t order any refreshments as the lady said she couldn’t leave her post. We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities.

Great stay. Thank you to Joy for her help and making such a great overnight stay for my fiancés 30th bday. Photos did not do the property justice it was so spacious including the ground floor balcony. We will be coming back and can’t wait. The food was great and so was the breakfast & pancakes!! The suites need more photos of the outside and the whole property could do with more signage it’s easy to get lost there are some signs but they’re not clear so we got lost a few times. If you’re considering booking you won’t be disappointed

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lakes by Yoo. Everything was clean and well designed and the pool and spa facilities were good. Most importantly the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a minor issue with our original room so they kindly upgraded us to a suite for our final night, which we weren't able to stay in as we had to leave due to a family emergency, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. We hope to visit again in the future!

Nice location but terrible value, not a luxury place at all - they skimp on details. We had almost no interaction with the staff, and they didn't refresh our room, which would be fine but, e.g. there are only two coffee cups, no spare towels. Why am I paying this price and have to wash my own coffee cup for day two? Safe in the room didn't work, teabags were terrible quality/brand, and worst of all, room design is style over substance - why is the TV beside the bed when bed points towards window with no view (garden room). Pool /gym facilities are beautiful and not at all busy, so that was a big plus. It's a premier inn next to a David Lloyd gym but without enough parking.

Absolutely beautiful stay at the lakes! It was so peaceful the perfect weekend away! We enjoyed the spa, tennis courts, gorgeous farm animals and peaceful and tranquil lakes! A lovely stay from arrival to departure. Staff done an exceptional job with making us feel so welcome by going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and making my partner’s birthday so special. First time visiting here, even though we only live a shortish distance away. Can't believe we haven't been there before! Such friendly helpful staff. The room was immaculate, quiet and comfy. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely return, as we want to try the Spa facilities.

Pros: Lovely room High quality accomodation Friendly staff at check in and in the health centre Cons: The balcony area could of been cleaned ready for our arrival -bird poo and cob webs everywhere. There was no mirror in the room apart from in the bathroom cabinet, therefore very difficult to dry and do my hair. Would really benefit from having a long mirror next to a plug point. The drinks and food at dinner took a very long time to arrive. The food was delicious but took a long time. No acknowledgement or reply when I told them we were staying for my husband's 40th birthday. Some. Acknowledgement would of been nice.

Stunning visit- stayed just for 1 night but could not have been better. Upgraded room to Suite which was stunning. Flawless service, great food, and the Spa was brilliant. Thanks to all the team, really special stay. Feedback note- some confusion between kitchen and hotel services as to whether breakfast was included- kitchen disputed whether it was included which is a little awkward. Apart from this very minor note, was fantastic.

Britain’s best kept secret

This was the most beautiful staycation we have ever had and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The kitchen had all the facilities and the decor was amazing. I couldn’t fault this place even if I tried.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. Guest services were very helpful both prior to arrival and on the day. We we definitely be back!

Wonderful, romantic stay at the lakes with my husband. The staff were faultless, really helpful and welcoming. We will be returning asap and are already looking at dates we can return in the spring.
