"We had an excellent stay at Select Hotel - Rive Gauche. As Americans traveling without a lot of familiarity with Paris, this location next to the Sorbonne felt very relaxed and safe. We were walking distance to the Latin Quarter, and I felt that anyone in our party could walk alone to and from the hotel throughout the evening without great concern. Breakfast was very nice in the hotel. There are lovely little outdoor cafes next door to the hotel if you want an evening “people watching” and still be close to the hotel to fall into bed. The rooms are quite small, like you find in NYC, which is to be expected. But it was fabulous to know we were coming back to our air conditioned hotel after a day of walking in the heat of July. I would definitely return to this little gem of a hotel!"
