Tanah Gajah was by far the most relaxing vacation my wife and I have ever had. From our villa with infiti pool looking on to the rice paddies to the private walled accomodation, the extensive beautifully designed gardens, wonderful food by chef Dean, everything superb! We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. We were delighted with our villa, which had an outdoor bathtub, two showers (indoor and outdoor). All with hot water. We had a private plunge pool as well, and lovely outdoor area with a daybed and dining table. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. This is the most beautiful property we have stayed in Bali. We were very appreciative of a complementary upgrade to a 3 bedroom villa - especially welcomed as it was my birthday weekend. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at The Elysian. We stayed in a one bedroom villa which offer plenty of space for the two of us and of course our own pool which was a perfect spot to cool down during the day. The hotel offers a a welcome sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. It's an incredibly peaceful and serene place, but is close enough to the best of Seminyak night life so for us offered the best of both in terms of location and facilities.

Absolutely amazing place -- so much more than expected. Staff were extremely friendly and service was second to none (bringing breakfast to the room etc, and it was delicious). The villa was huge, as was the pool, and absolutely beautifully done. nothing quite like waking up with a pool at the end of your bed in the sunshine ! The hotel's shuttle/free taxi to Sanur was great, available whenever needed and unlike some hotels it ran until 11pm giving plenty of time to have dinner and drinks out.
