"The hotel is a little bit further a out of than we thought. It overlooked the ferry port. We enjoyed watching the ferries (we are old). The hotel food was excellent and reasonably priced, compared to the town. At weekend you needto book in the town. The breakfast was good. The staff were lovely. We stayed a week,so they got to know us. We'll be back. On a another note, we are thinking of moving to Shetland."

"Good location. Room was small with old furniture but clean. Dining room/restaurant was dusty: tables and floors were clean but evidence that corners, blinds, and deep cleaning does not happen often. Food options were quite good. Breakfast was good and well-served."

Restaurant was closed, which is challenging if staying on the weekend because there are literally only a handful of places to eat on a Sunday and reservations are hard to come by. I stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeping available unless requested. The front desk is not manned 24/7 but mobile...

"Positives - great location in Scalloway, room quiet and bed was comfy. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice of cooked and buffet items. Negatives - we booked via Expedia and chose to pay a deposit with the remainder due on arrival and full cancellation available until a week before. We had a confirmation letter from the hotel via Expedia that said that the final balance would be taken on arrival. I tried to contact the hotel several times between booking and arrival to confirm...
