"I love little secret hideaways and we found two of them on this trip. Suite 6 is tucked away in the finest of alleys. You will think Google maps has lead you astray but it has not! When you look at the pictures online you would never believe this property could be tucked away in this location. But there is it. It's gorgeous and we should have stayed longer. "The Hotel d' Amphitheatre is in the perfect location in Nimes. Our 3 night stay was just what we needed and the breakfasts were excellent. It's an easy walk from the railway station, close to sites, restaurants, bars and shops. The building is old and does not have a lift but Olivier was always happy to help carrying bags to and from rooms. Nimes was our favourite place during our recent trip through France. We look forward to visiting again and will definitely stay at Hotel d' Amphitheatre."

"Great place to stay…all our friends swooned over photos of the ancient stone staircase (like something out if Harry Potter), and the history of the building. Staff really helpful. Breakfast excellent. OK there’s no restaurant for lunch or dinner, but lots of places close by. Highly recommended. "

"This hotel is an excellent choice for travelers who want convenience and easy access to local attractions. Located directly across from the train station and close to downtown, it makes getting around the city very simple. Public transportation bus stops are right outside the station, and most major attractions are within a mile and easily walkable. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, although somewhat small. Large windows helped make the space feel bright and open. While the immediate area around the hotel felt a bit separated from the city center, crossing to the other side of the train station brings you to a beautiful entrance into the downtown area. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping options within a 10- to 15-minute walk. Guests should be aware that the room layout is somewhat unconventional. The sink and mirror are located in the open area of the room rather than in an enclosed bathroom, and there are no electrical outlets near the mirror, which may be inconvenient for those using hair dryers, electric razors, or other grooming devices. The shower is also open to the room itself, although a privacy curtain can be closed along one side of the shower area. The toilet is located in a separate small room, but the door does not lock. This may not be an issue for solo travelers or couples, but groups and families may want to keep it in mind. Some areas of the hotel were undergoing construction during our stay, but it did not significantly impact"

"Check in staff was nice and friendly. Got me extra glass and bowl to the room. During check in they called me at 11:30 while checkout on Expedia was listed as 12. The location is perfect. Close to train station. Most sightseeing in walking distance. However a lot of noise from neighboring rooms especially when they close door or move chairs around in the tile."

"The staff was absolutely amazing throughout our stay! They provided a smooth check-in, including detailed information about nearby sites & restaurants…including a map in English! Pretty much everything is within easy walking distance. They had luggage storage for us so we could see some last things before our midday train departure…the train station was less than a 5 minute walk. We would love to stay here again."
