"Things started nicely with reception. We were received kindly and efficiently. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The location is perfect. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. That being said, the cushions at the pool loungers could use an update. The first day I went to get beach towels, the guy was rude and acted like I was stealing the towels because he had never seen me before. I clarified that he wouldn’t have seen me because I had just checked in. Our room was on a corner and we had an amazing ocean view but the bathtub was in terrible shape. It was peeling in some areas and there was rust around the drain. I’m not the kind of person to make a big deal out of things but I don’t understand how the hotel would find that acceptable. It’s a shame though because it’s a lovely location in a beautiful island."

"Had a very poor experience traveling as a group of 8. While we understand some things are outside the resort’s control, overall this was one of the most disappointing all-inclusive experiences we’ve had. The food was below average, and many items we ordered were either unavailable by 9 AM or equipment/services were broken. The beach was unfortunately not accessible due to excessive seaweed, which we understand is not entirely the resort’s fault. However, the beach was not maintained or cleaned, and the buildup of seaweed created a very unpleasant odor that was noticeable immediately upon arriving at the resort. The biggest disappointment was the lack of customer service. Aside from one staff member, the majority of interactions felt unwelcoming and unhelpful. Customer service can make or break a vacation experience, and unfortunately this resort fell very short. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed and would not return."
Bluebeard's Castle Resort

"Overall, the stay at the hotel was good. With exceptions for some marks on the wall in the bathroom and hairs in the cabinets likely left by prior guests, the room was clean. The proximity and view of downtown St. Thomas was absolutely the best part of the room. Additionally, we loved the air conditioning. The pool and the hot tub are not the most attractive in comparison to that of other resorts on the island, but they are good. It appears that the hotel is being renovated in portions, so this hotel has the potential to be the best on the island. Also, the on-site Sunnyside Cafe is a great stop for breakfast, but the dinner at the Castle Grill is not recommended in light of other nearby places for dinner that are both better and more affordable. Note: If booking on Expedia, there is a lot of confusion about where you are staying in relation to Bluebeards Castle. Initially, we expected to be closer to the castle but found out that the resort is broken down into 3 different buildings with different layouts. You can find more information about their layout on the hotel’s website."

"Our room had a leak throughout our entire stay. We reported it but it was not fixed. As a result our room constantly smelled musty. The make up mirror was not operational. On a few occasions they ran out of food by the pool. The staff overall were very friendly. In particular Carlene in the main lobby bar and Chelsey in the pool bar. The beach on the property is calm and beautiful."

"The room was clean, beautiful, and very spacious we just had a little issue with the A/C and on spot where water leaked from the ceiling. Once it was reported someone was sent right away. The pools are great the kids enjoyed them the staff was friendly mostly helpful and nice."
