"I mistakenly booked our room for Monday through Friday so I had to add Sunday night to our booking. Unbeknownst to me, I booked a different room. In lieu of dragging our luggage to a different room, we decided to stay where we were ( in the basement). That was a big mistake because we began to smell a strong odor of mold. "Comfortable room (better than I expected for the price), very clean throughout, polite, friendly and helpful staff. Outside garden was rather unkempt and decking and woodwork needs attention. Interior refurbishment was being carried out with no disturbance to residents. Broken bathroom fan had been noted and was repaired on day two. Only thing could fault it on was we only had a double framed bed which was too small and uncomfortable for me to get a good nights sleep a new mattress would have helped as could feel the springs.
