"There was a wedding party and they were very loud all night long. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The lady that worked in the bar was very friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the property and surroundings. She was the best part of the whole trip"

"We were very disappointed with our stay. When we checked in, the hotel charged an additional $100 that had not been clearly disclosed beforehand, which was an unpleasant surprise. The entire hotel has an unpleasant smell, and the air conditioning only seems to have two settings—ice cold or completely off—making it difficult to keep the room comfortable. The sofa bed was unusable. The mattress was so thin that it offered almost no support. We had to call to request bedding, only to be told to...

"The breakfast staff was terrible, as soon as they put the breakfast out they went and stood right by the food with their arms crossed and starred at everyone's plates. They spoke Spanish and I do too they were talking about how much food was on people's plates and saying rude things. I travel often and never had this happen before it was a terrible experience it made me feel like never going back to that hotel again. Sucks because the rooms were clean and it was very close to worlds of fun but...

"The hotel was clean and staff was great. What we did like was the sort thin walls. We heard the neighbors partying until 5 am. Also, restaurants weren’t open during the day except one. I don’t think we would stay here again."

"Ophelia's was a fantastic place! A comfortable and unique B & B that we found was mere blocks from the place & purpose of our visit to Independence. The room was very nicely decorated and had the usual TV, free internet & coffee as well as refrigerated beverages ($$) and fine liquors ($$). One big plus is that you can also purchase the Turkish cotton bathrobes that are provided to the guests (my wife liked them). There is elevator service to the rooms, which set directly above the restaurant....

"Checked in with 2 rooms one the sink was clogged one the shower. Was told there was no maintenance staff on duty but I could come down and grab a plunger. Also, some plugs didn't work, chiped paint everywhere and strong smell of marijuana."

"The location of the hotel was great, lots of stores, restaurants (we loved King's Indian Cuisine) and gas stations in the surrounding area. Also only a 15 to 20 minute drive outside of KC. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly. We had no problem with parking. The only real issue we had was concerning the jetted tub and the surrounding area. First and foremost the tile on the ground outside of the tub on the faucet side is completely unsealed from the ground and if you step closer...
