"Their service was excellent. They were super helpful. I wanted to check-out early the next morning, so I went to the reception that night and informed them to do a quick process for the check-out. They were not only very helpful regarding the check-out process but also this gentleman at the lobby packed my breakfast just because I would not be there to have breakfast. "Lovely old colonial hotel with a past! Saltwater pool. Ocean breezes keep you cool in a hot Colombo. Room was very comfortable. Very easy to get a taxi or tuktuk anywhere."

"The beds were comfortable and toilets were clean. The staff was also very attentive. The place has been well designed but isn't maintained well. The walls were very dirty and we had a problem with a bad smell coming out of one of the toilets. They tried to fix it and had to give us another room, which didn't have that problem. Other than this issue, it was a decenr place to stay. An overall clean would do wonders for this property. "

"Good hotel but for the price they need to improve. Also room service is super expensive. The lobbies are well maintained but floors in the rooms are quite dirty. I also noticed a lot of dust in the headboard of the bed. Not sure why they made the wall in between the shower and the toilet room wall out of semitransparent glass. The breakfast buffet is alright but it does get quite crowded and the layout of of the buffet does not help"

"We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast in the courtyard which was lovely. The staff were very attentive and the room was beautiful with a plate of fresh fruit upon arrival which was very welcome. "
