"The hotel is old and due for a renovation. The carpets are dirty/worn out. A/C units in the bedrooms would be welcome in the hot summer months. Only one product (shampoo/body wash combo) was offered in the bathroom. Conditioner & body lotion is always appreciated.
Breakfast was a good buffet.
The onsite restaurant was closed but there are plenty of good choices a short walk away on the Place Des Heroes."
"Lovely chateau hotel full of charm. No Aircon in bedroom though they did supply a fan. Limited spirits at bar & no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. However, these minor gripes did not spoil our stay, would definitely recommend it 👍"
"Great hotel, nice and clean. Parking a big
fuss, never any space left in the hotel car park (which I paid full price for every day) on a night, have to park in the car park out the back which is free. But doesn’t open till 9:30am so have to get someone to unlock the gate or you are stuck!"
"Nice hotel in a great location - right on the Grand Place. Good for parking too.
Hotel staff were great and breakfast was good. It is a little tired overall."
"Great location an hour south of Calais, friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was good too!!.
The hotel itself does need a refurb & our room though a non smoking room, smelt of cigarettes and was a bit dated. Bed was comfy enough but rooms on front of building can be noisy from local boy racers using the adjacent car parks at night.
Also pity none of the on-site chargers worked as would be good facility on-site (there is an ev charging station next door which helped us out!)."
"Stayed here while visiting Canadian National Vimy Memorial and other Canadian WWI sites, and the location was absolutely ideal. The staff were incredibly helpful, the hotel was very clean, and dinner was excellent. Having Louvre-Lens just across the street was an added bonus. There was also ample free parking, which made exploring the area by car very easy. The continental breakfast was decent, though my expectations may have been a little too high after such a fantastic meal the night before."
