I booked and paid for a Sleepods capsule inside Jorge Chávez Airport (Lima) because I had an international connection and did NOT want to leave the transit area.
The huge problem: the Sleepods are NOT located inside the international transit zone; they are in the public area, landside, after immigration. Airport staff confirmed that to reach them I would have to go through immigration (exit Peru), collect luggage, pay departure tax and check in again… completely impossible on a short layover.
I asked for a refund and they refused, claiming “the guest arrived at the property and decided to cancel”. That is a LIE. I never arrived because it was physically impossible without destroying my connection.
This is completely misleading advertising: they promote themselves as “the only in-terminal sleep pods” and “inside Lima Airport” but deliberately hide that they are outside the international transit area. Many connecting passengers fall into the same trap.
Do NOT book this if you have an international layover. I lost my money and ended up sleeping on the airport floor. Very disappointed and felt cheated.
