"I stay at this Embassy Suites (Charleston, WV) frequently and there tends to be some type of problem when I check in. I like to book a double room (non-assessible) through 3rd party sites; however, when I check in, the staff likes to give me whatever room they have left over and their excuse is they can't guarantee room selection when it's booked through 3rd party sites.
I only have this problem at this particular location. This past weekend, I was given a very small room with a King size bed to accommodate my family of four. My kids don't sleep on a pull out couch at home and I don't except them to on vacation unless it's by choice ahead of time.
Lastly, we didn't receive any clean towels on Saturday. I called the front desk and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. After waiting, I walked downstairs around 8p to get towels and was told they would send some up to my room on the 8th floor. At 10pm, still NO towels. Needless to say, we NEVER received towels on Saturday or before check out (totally unacceptable).
I love the Hilton Brand, but definitely considering Mariott at this point."
