"Upon arrival we had another guest inform us that we would need space heaters for our rooms because the entire hotel didn’t have heat. The boiler room went out and it was blowing cold air, we were traveling with a small child. This wasn’t noted in their website nor was it communicated when we called to confirm the reservation. Will not be returning unless absolutely desperate."

"The hotel was located very conveniently to restaurants and other stores. The breakfast was fresh. Our room was very nice and clean."

"I stay at this Embassy Suites (Charleston, WV) frequently and there tends to be some type of problem when I check in. I like to book a double room (non-assessible) through 3rd party sites; however, when I check in, the staff likes to give me whatever room they have left over and their excuse is they can't guarantee room selection when it's booked through 3rd party sites. I only have this problem at this particular location. This past weekend, I was given a very small room with a King size bed to accommodate my family of four. My kids don't sleep on a pull out couch at home and I don't except them to on vacation unless it's by choice ahead of time. Lastly, we didn't receive any clean towels on Saturday. I called the front desk and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. After waiting, I walked downstairs around 8p to get towels and was told they would send some up to my room on the 8th floor. At 10pm, still NO towels. Needless to say, we NEVER received towels on Saturday or before check out (totally unacceptable). I love the Hilton Brand, but definitely considering Mariott at this point."

"dated, warned out hotel/ furniture, my room smelled like mold. Sheet were clean, kitchen and bathroom was clean. Staff was great. "

"I think it was circumstantial, but there was a group in the hotel that made my stay very unpleasant. Shared spaces were dominated by this group and they were generally rude. I was enroute to another city and have always enjoyed stopping in Charleston and staying at this hotel. However, this time was simply awful. I wasn't able to take advantage of the amenities, especially breakfast, so I just left as soon as I got up the next morning. Room was fine, clean, but my experience other than that was pretty awful."

"They reserved a king room instead given a two full beds room. And on top of they double booked us and someone repeatedly tried to enter our room at 11:00 at night. Front desk called our room to ask who was in the room. Then they must have changed the key because when we left the room in the morning for breakfast when we came back our key wouldn’t work."
