"Everything was easy for check in. They communicated with us every step of the way! We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom with full kitchen. Beds were comfortable. The whole place was clean. We liked that we had a broom and mop to clean up some. Plus the washer and drying rack were nice. We asked about using the grill and they made sure we were able, they also dropped of grilling utensils for us. Before I have anything negative to say, I want to say that our stay was clean, comfortable and safe. There is a gate with codes to get in and at 6pm there is on site security, that was super welcoming and kind. I have stayed in a lot of place on many islands. No this isn't ocean front but it was over all great. Just rent a vehicle and go explore! Down sides to our stay... there is currently construction, so we had to listen to them working. We left during the day so it really wasn't a major deal for us. If you plan to stay pool side, expect there to be some noise. The kitchen did have some dishes, pots and pans but I will say we had broken and dull knifes which we just kind of chuckled at and made it work. We like to clean up after ourselves and it didn't offer anything to clean aside from a single dish sponge, broom and mop. Which we did use but for us, we would have liked to have more clothes to clean the space as we made messes in the kitchen. (They did provide dish soap) Please dont let the negative deter you from staying. It was great overall!"

"The resort was beautiful & located in a great spot on the island. Villa was clean & equipped with everything we needed. *Kitchen had plates, utensils, cooking supplies & even tupperware. *Dishwasher was helpful to throw everything in at the end of the day & wake up to clean dishes. *Bedrooms are wonderfully air-conditioned and comfortable! *No issues w/ noisy neighbors & plenty of parking. *Description said '1 bathroom,' but the villa had 2 full bathrooms *Fresh towels provided daily, or you could indicate using your towels more than 1 day. *Pools were great! We spent most of our time at the beaches. Papagayo's beach was a little confusing to figure out b/c each beach section is right next to the other. Cabanas are $69/pp according to 1 person. Someone else said they paid $100 for a cabana...? The beach chairs are free and worked fine for us. *Papagayo's section is a little farther from the restaurants which was ok. It was quieter and away from the DJ and crowds by the other restaurants. *Pool towels can be exchanged at the reception or @ the towel hut at the beach. *Grocery store nearby helped with buying essentials and snacks. *We drank the water straight from the sink & had no issues. *No restaurant on the resort property but plenty w/in walking distance by the beach. *Wraparound porch was lovely to relax on each night *Warning, there are def bugs both flying & crawling around the villa. It did not bother us but just a heads up. Everyone was so friendly!! "

"The suite we stayed in was beautiful and very spacious. Everything appeared to be new and well maintained. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the beds were very comfortable. The cleaning staff would change our towels every 2 days, and a do a deep clean every 4 days, which we found was very appropriate. There was parking available for our rented car, the pool and facilities were exceptional, and the free yoga class offered once a week was fantastic. Take it if you have a chance! We appreciated the free beach chairs and access to Mambo Beach... a great plus to this hotel stay. There is also a walking trail behind the hotel that takes you to the next town Jan Thiel... we walked halfway and the views along the coast are spectacular. The front desk staff (Charlize, Leanne, Chantal) were very friendly, attentive and helpful, and made you feel very welcome. I would definitely come back to this hotel, and recommend it to anyone looking for great value at walking distance to the beach."

"We had a lovely stay in Jan Thiel. It is a great area of Curacao to stay in. You can easily walk to restaurants and to the beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. Lovely pool. "
