Having stopped at this hotel before, we knew it would be good. Rooms are large and decorated to a good standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food was also good. Only one small negative for me, was the mattress. If either me or my partner moved slightly, it would move the other person, almost like a water bed, which disrupted sleep a bit. The previous room we’d stopped in had a better mattress

The world’s smallest en-suite with an automatic light with a mind of its own (& no switch to override), no window, no towel rail or even a toilet roll holder. Room’s window opening restricted to an inch by a lock, and the other windows sealed closed. Lovely given the weather and no fan..! Very basic and over-priced. Checked out early; couldn’t face another night.

Pleasant well located Hotel

A good functional hotel and pub with great staff. This is very well located to go anywhere in Anglesey.

The lady who checked us in was pleasant, polite and helpful. Rescuing me when I couldn't find our room. Signage to our room number would have been an advantage. The building is old, so no lift. We had a room on the top floor. The toilet was slow to fill, which eventually stopped working by the morning. The shower had great pressure, but no cold water to cool it down, so could be dangerous. We reported both at reception the next morning. Good size room and comfy bed. Bikes felt safe left in car park. No breakfast included, so used the pink cafe across the road. No food being served the night before as a party booked. Plenty of take a way places to choose from in the town. Staff when we left were not as conscious as the lady the previous evening.

This is a positive review with a couple of caviats. The Stsndsrd apartment with courtyard view location was perfect and the apartment was very clean with nice kitchenette and good sized bathroom however it was advertised as having a double and two single beds and when we arrived late afternoon discovered it only had one single bed and a sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. We were left with no option to accept as to find other accomodation at this late stage would have been neigh on impossible so reluctantly accepted. After complaints to the owners this has now been amicably addressed and I am told the sofa bed has been replaced as it should not have been removed in the first place. The parking was tight but if full there was a large car park next door which was free for overnight parking. Tea and coffee making facilities were very welcome as was the kitchette. Restaurant was hit and miss and did not appear to serve breakfasts during our stay but there are a few cafes and takeaways locally and pub food all less than 20 minutes by car. The Bull itself seemed to be a popular local and everybody appeared to be friendly and welcoming. All in all I would recommend this as a base to tour Anglesey and North West Wales or enroute to Ferry crossings as it appeared some of the clients were.

Ideal for a stay in a nice little town, bed was a bit too soft for me.But I like a extra firm bed as my preference. Room was nice & spacious, and Bathroom was spacious too. Lovely walk in the morning to the Dingle. shops are 2 seconds away so perfect location.
