"Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times."

"This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away.
My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

"A good and cost-effective service station hotel. Ask for a room to the rear for more quiet! McDonald’s, Leon, Costa, TG Jones and a breakfast place(Chozen after 11am) mean there are plenty of good, quick eating options too. The room was clean and spacious, if a little dated in places, and served us just fine for an overnight stay for a night out in Newport."

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "We were so impressed by this hotel. We only paid around £60 and had a lovely clean, modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative I can think of is that the carpet is a bit threadbare in the corridors but that made no difference to our experience.
We were lucky to have a view over the lovely marina.
The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Free parking very close by and bars and restaurants also very close.
I would highly recommend this hotel and I am just about to book...
