A perfect location overlooking the town, beautiful Edwardian buildings in the Arts and Crafts style, fine views from my windows. Excellent breakfasts, served from 7.30 onwards for those wanting an early start. Staff friendly and helpful. And amazing value for money all round. "

"Hotel in brilliant position we had everything we needed. Atrium for breakfast with views of the whole of Llanberis was stunning. Breakfast very fresh and varied. Our only complaint would be evening meal did not come up to expectations. Advertised as served with salad. A flat bread with minute bits of salad. A disappointment.. Quite pricey. The hotel and staff were great. "

"The main building, bar and restaurant are lovely and the parking is also good. Staff are friendly if perhaps not always immediately available. However, the room was distinctly average, or perhaps not worth the money paid. There was a strange smell in the room, which was worse in the heavily dated bathroom. Furnishings felt dated and completely out of character with the nicely decorated and furnished main areas. The window had no view at all and was even partly obscured glass, adding to the...

"The hotel is fairly basic, the rooms look a bit dated, there was a crack in my bath surround and some staining on the ceiling, but I believe the rooms are due for refurbishment shortly, so this is likely to improve. The parking is just over the road, and is free for as long as you're staying (you can come and go without registering again apparently). The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. The food was good but a bit pricey in my opinion, but it is a touristy area, so base your expectations on...

"Lovely stay in Y Capel. Check in really easy and parking onsite was fine. Room was absolutely lovely with a really comfy king bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was in the Erskine Arms and was really tasty. A fair few options on the hot menu and a choice of fruit, yogurts and cereal. We also ate in the pub in the evening and was a really nice meal. One thing to note.... The church next door has a bell that chimes every 15 minutes as well as on the hour, all through the night. Our room...
