"Cute little hotel across from the airport. Yes it's a bit noisy due to convenient location, but we were able to get a nice dinner and hot complimentary breakfasts in their cute little restaurant by the pool, visit their puppy and free shuttle to the airport. The room had a fan that did a good job for the road/ plane noise and the price was excellent! Just what we needed!"

"A very convenient place to stay before an early morning flight. We arrived a couple of hours before check, but they were able to get us in a room early. Shuttle was avaliable before 5:00 AM to take us to the Airport. "

"This a boutique hotel with an old school western vibe. The outside of the hotel is beautiful the rooms are spacious but a little dated. The steakhouse next door was delicious and we received a discount for dinner. Breakfast was included and was also at the steakhouse next door. Even thought this property is close in miles to the airport it is not a simple or quick drive to get to this property or to get to the airport. "

"Outstanding stay! We came for the gardens, and they did not disappoint. They were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The gardeners were great and helped us locate some birds. We were equally impressed with the hotel. It is a lovely building with comfortable rooms. The restaurant is fantastic and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. "

The shuttle drivers were wonderful - including one who drove out of his way to bring us to our rental car company. "This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Serenity Ecolodge for a stay near Poas Volcano. I have nothing but good things to say about the...

"We stayed at the Berlin on our way back to Canada. Spotless room. Really lovely, helpful staff. She booked us an airport taxi for very early the next morning. They were up when we were leaving at 5 am and gave us coffee and a take-out breakfast. We will stay there on our next visit."
