A beach with clear turquoise water, a sandy shore, and buildings along the coastline.
A coastal promenade with palm trees, a beachside kiosk, and a castle on a hill.

Join the party at Lloret de Mar’s liveliest beach and sink your feet into its soft, golden sands.

Lloret de Mar Beach is the biggest and most popular beach found in the town of the same name. This beach and its busy oceanfront promenade are a hotspot for tourism and leisure activities in Lloret de Mar. From shopping and nightlife to thrilling watersports activities, it’s the perfect spot for those seeking an active beach holiday packed with plenty of entertainment.

This moon-shaped beach curves 1 mile (1.6 kilometres) around the bay. Sit back and admire the scenery or walk along the fine sand down to the Mediterranean Sea. Despite the high traffic it receives, Lloret de Mar Beach is cleaned regularly and remains remarkably pristine.

When you’re ready to venture out into the bright blue waters, you can swim, snorkel, paddle a rented canoe or water ski. Go parasailing to enjoy far-reaching views over Lloret de Mar.

Wind down with a stroll along the pleasant beachfront promenade. Lined by shady palm trees, the promenade can provide a welcome break from the sun on a hot afternoon. Stop for a cool drink at one of the cafés or browse the airy shops found along the promenade’s length.

Come back in the evening when the promenade livens up with nightlife entertainment. Find a seat at a bar and sip a drink as you watch the sky darken.

Keep an eye out for the Monument to the Fishermen’s Wife, a bronze sculpture found on a rocky hill at the end of the beach. Designed by artist Ernet Maragall, the statue was erected in 1966 to commemorate Lloret de Mar’s millennium. A local legend is that your wish will come true if you make it while touching the foot of the sculpture.

Lloret de Mar Beach is particularly popular during the summer months of July and August, so it’s better to plan your trip in the spring or autumn if you want to avoid the biggest crowds. The beach is located in the centre of Lloret de Mar town and parking is available towards its north end.
